Education at StableStrides: Workshops and Beyond!

StableStrides is grateful for the opportunities year after year to share experiences with other behavioral health professionals as we educate and learn from each other while broadening the knowledge base of the EAAT industry in Southern Colorado and beyond. This year, our workshops were socially distanced, sanitized often and masked up, as we reduced the risk of COVID exposures, though the experiences were no less extraordinary for the 39 participants from over 10 different states in the US. In the last two months, StableStrides is thankful for the trust shown by the participants to continue learning, growing and developing their facilitation skillsets and proficiencies in the EAAT industry.

We recently hosted a PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning workshop in July, as well as an EAGALA Fundamentals training in August. Both of these workshops educate participants on responsible facilitation of Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy. As each of these organizations and trainings have their own methods in the EAAT industry, it’s refreshing to experience each of their perspectives and enjoy soaking up the incredible experience that both the PATH Intl. and EAGALA faculty share as they visit StableStrides to facilitate the trainings. If you have the itch to learn and grow with us this year still, there is one more workshop coming to StableStrides in October.

The Masterson Method Equine Specialist workshop is a 3-day course, where you will learn the basics of how to practice The Masterson Method with horses in EAAT programs and how to help EAAT program participants (clients, students), volunteers, and staff do the simplest techniques with the horse to release tension, build trust and deepen connection.
